VO: Tell us about your firm
Bob: It's me and two associates at this time, we have a law clerk also. So there's three lawyers at any given time. We kind of do a team approach to putting together our strategy for defending these cases. I mean the thing that makes us different is kind of not taking as many cases. I actually worked for a big firm for a short period of time and they had at any given time 800, 700 and 800, open files. Every single one of those files was a person who had been charged with a crime. Just logistics wise, you can't really pay attention to every one of those cases. What we do is kind of take fewer cases, pay closer attention to them, and kind of work them up in a similar way. So we, we have more time to devote to each individual case. Because there's actually just fewer cases on our docket. I inherit a lot of cases from other lawyers that don't answer the phone for some reason. This always surprises me when people are like, "he hasn't called me back in three weeks". If I have someone that I'm paying good money to do some type of service for me and they're not calling me back for three weeks in going to fire them. And I'm always surprised because I get hired by these guys and they are surprised that I'm calling them back within ten or fifteen minutes of them calling me. And then I try to call their old lawyer and they're still not answering the phone. So this just happened yesterday where I couldn't get ahold of a guy whose got some important evidence in his possession, he's a lawyer. Just won't call m back. So we make a point of answering people's phone calls right away or if they contact us online we get back to them as soon as possible.
